What is the significance of a Dual Band and Gigabit Router?

A Gigabit router is a router that offers a fast Gigabit port, which allows for high-speed data transfers up to 1000 megabits per second. Dual-band routers support both bands (2.4GHz and 5GHz) and provide faster speed and flexibility by having a separate SSID and password for each band. (Recommended for 25 Mbps and above plans or for FTTH).

Ways to enhance internet speed and performance?

  • Turn off your router for atleast 5 to 10 minutes every day.
  • For better connectivity, keep your mobile device and laptop at a 5-metre distance from your router.

What should I do if my Wi-Fi connection is weak or out of range?

  • Determine your distance from your router; the greater the distance, the weaker the signal.
  • Adjust the position of your router to a more central area. Place it in a way that avoids obstructions such as heavy walls and furniture.

Why is my internet connection slow?

  • Routers can hang after a while of operation. The easiest way to fix many connectivity problems is to restart your router.
  • Check your usage and how many devices are connected to your router. Whenever possible, power off or disconnect devices that you aren’t using. This can free up more speed for the ones you are using.
  • Slow internet can sometimes be due to a weak WiFi signal.
  • Regularly update your browsers and clear your cache

Can I connect multiple devices?

Setting up your broadband router allows you to connect various devices at home, such as computers, smart TVs, and smartphones, as long as they have the Wi-Fi password. However, connecting multiple devices can slow down your internet speed due to shared bandwidth. To ensure optimal performance, consider listing the devices you want to connect and choose a plan that meets your speed requirements.

Is it possible to ensure that I will experience 100% uptime?

Unfortunately, no provider can guarantee 100% uptime. All services experience occasional outages or scheduled maintenance. We strive to minimize any disruptions and keep your operations running smoothly.
